1. Our commitment

Babylon Health Limited is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all adults in our care, particularly adults at risk. We have zero tolerance of abuse, neglect or harm in any form, and we work to create a culture where everyone feels safe, respected and listened to.

2. Our legal & regulatory framework

Our safeguarding practice is guided by the Care Act 2014, statutory safeguarding guidance, and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We also work within the procedures of our local Safeguarding Adults Board (Birmingham Safeguarding Adults Board) and Birmingham City Council adult social care.

3. How we keep people safe

All staff are subject to enhanced DBS checks and robust recruitment vetting
Every certificate, qualification and DBS check is independently verified with the issuing body or an external verification service, to guard against forged or altered documents
Staff receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role, refreshed regularly
We have a designated safeguarding lead responsible for safeguarding matters
Person-centred care planning that respects choice, dignity and independence
Clear procedures for recognising, recording and reporting concerns

4. Reporting a concern

If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of someone in our care, please tell us straight away. Contact our designated safeguarding lead via info@babylonhealthlimited.com or 07988 477301.

If someone is in immediate danger, always call 999. You can also raise a safeguarding concern directly with your local authority's adult social care team, or with the CQC.

5. Whistleblowing

We encourage staff and others to raise concerns about practice without fear. Concerns can be raised internally with management, or externally with the relevant authorities.
